We did it!
We reached our goal!
We made it 5 weeks as an accountability group, getting up at to pray at 5am, 5 days a week!
Now it is YOUR turn.
Why should you to make this your next goal?
Here are just a few stories of some of the ladies who just finished their 5 weeks:
“This time set aside with the Lord every morning has changed my life! It has helped guide me through very challenging times in my first year of marriage. I have seen the faithfulness of God and His love for me as He has provided for our needs. I am falling so much more in love with God than I ever thought was possible! I have loved the accountability. I need this time in my life!” – Chelsea Whittle (San Angelo, TX)
“My early morning prayer time has shown me peace like I haven’t known before. In the midst of a very transitional point in my life, I should be really nervous, but God has given me a peace about it all. I’m confident that His plan will be better than my own and can’t wait to see His purpose for my life!” – Michelle Kleineweber (Kansas City, MO)
“Okay, Erica. I GET IT! Crazy people getting up at 5am results in really emotional responses in written form. I am cautiously curious. How does this process actually work?”
Just keep reading, little grasshopper…
The basic idea is to wake up at 5am and “check in” via sending a message to the group, announcing to the world that you are up and at ’em! Once you stretch and try to exit your zombie-like state, you begin to pray from your beautifully handwritten list of requests- yours and others’. If you can’t think of what to pray, make a list of your entire family. Then add acquaintances. Then…
Pray for an entire hour.
Whaaaaaaat?!?!
Don’t freak out! Deep breaths! After you regain consciousness, think this through: If you pray for each person on your list for 1 minute (an easy Sunday school prayer will cover that!) you will fill up an hour.
What if you don’t have an hour? Do as much as you can!
I like to mix in some Bible reading too, if time allows. Sometimes I start with it, sometimes I end with it, but God ALWAYS speaks to me through the Bible. This is all a part of experiencing the freedom that our faith can provide- praying and reading go hand-in-hand!
Throughout the day, feel free to connect with the group when prayers are answered or if you need prayer for something. You will NOT be doing this thing alone! Start to check-off the answered prayers on your list and add new ones that arise.
What are you waiting for? The early mornings are WORTH it!

I’m totally in for round three! I feel crazy for saying so, but it’s been so good, beyond words good! This time, I feel called to both begin AND end my day with committed, intentional time with God.
I’m not entirely sure what that will look like yet, but I know it will include prayer, the Bible, and devotionals.
Hold me accountable, friends! <3
Love it Michelle!
Michelle-
This is such a great idea! I may want to try this, too. I’m gonna start thinking about how it will work for me maybe..
The Lord has been calling me to this for awhile and I just have not been consistent. . this is the push (and accountability) I need!
Accountability has been the key that was missing for me prior to this!
Great, Missy!
Would you like me to add you to our group?
I want to join!!
Got you down, Rachel! YAY!
