For day two of #theFives, let’s talk about being intentional.
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
-Ephesians 6:18
Be alert. Keep on praying. This doesn’t happen without intentional investment in your prayer time. That means being prepared, coming with an open heart, and being ready to receive from the Lord.
Spend some time reflecting on what distracts you when you are in prayer. What makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning?
Let’s pray:
1.) Declare this truth over yourself: “God has given me self-control and a sound mind to focus on prayer.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
2.) There is someone God wants you to pray for specifically today. Ask Him to show you who that is and how to pray for them.
3.) What does it look like for you to pray consistently?
