IT’S FRI-YAY!!!!!!
Guess what? Today you need to congratulate yourself!! You are NAILING this session of #theFives (even if you fell back asleep a couple of times…) As long as you are walking towards God, you can never be failing!
“…train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”
-1 Timothy 4:7b-8
Ugh, training? It makes me think of going to the gym, which is not always my favorite. But I hold on to the promise that my reps will soon add up to a healthy body that will sustain me for a long and awesome life. Spiritual training? The Bible says it’s even MORE beneficial! It has more lasting impact than anything else we can spend our time on in this life. #theFives is just a small step in the purification process. Continue to train those prayer muscles, folks. There is nothing better!
Let’s pray:
1.) Reflect on where you are now in prayer, compared to last year at this time. What has changed? Where have you grown? Journal your thoughts.
2.) This weekend is going to be fantastic! Ask God how you can incorporate prayer into your Saturday and Sunday in ways that are different than during the week.
3.) Celebrate!! Ask God what HE says about you today. Sit in the silence and let Him write a letter to you. With pen in hand, ask Him, “God, how do you see me?” Write down every word you hear. Filter it through the character of God- He doesn’t shame, condemn, or nag. He will speak sweet things to your heart.

Vacations, games, everything we do for fun eventually come to an end. That’s just a fact of life. We enjoy them, make precious memories and value them and try to hold on to them for as long as possible. But this ride with Jesus is a blast. He loves having fun, and it’s never gonna end.
and I am ALL about having fun! Ahhhh yeeeaaaah.
