Hey, hey Wednesday! We are moving through week three #likeaboss!
“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
-James 5:15-16
Our prayers are not lifeless words that get lost in the atmosphere. The words we speak to God are powerful and effective. When faith rises up in us and we believe that God can do amazing acts through our prayers, we get to sit back and watch Him heal and restore, physically and spiritually, through our prayers.
But what if we are the ones who need someone fighting for us? Do our prayers do for us what they do for others? Does God hear our prayers and fight on our behalf? Our prayers may be the boxing glove, but God is the fist. Prayer wins the battle because God is the fighter. He never loses a battle.
Let’s pray:
1.) Read Romans 8:26-27. When we don’t know what to pray for ourselves, we are not without protection. The Holy Spirit in us prays when we cannot find the words. When was time you “had no words”? How did God meet you in that moment?
2.) Read Ephesians 6:12 in the meme for today. We fight an invisible enemy, often made visible through the actions of others. Ask God to reveal which person you have viewed as the enemy, blaming them for your attack, and remind yourself of the true enemy.
3.) Let these songs encourage you that someone fights for you, even when you feel defenseless and broken.

My mom and my step dad have been living together as “roommates” since their divorce in 2010. I’ve lived here since 2012 after my divorce. It became one of those stale relationships or two people just tolerating each other in a home. And just a few months ago or this past year I have prayed that my stepdad would come out of his circumstance of just sitting in a chair watching TV shows and playing computer games. My prayers would go on for weeks, sometimes months. And just last week he started working on a food handlers test to get back in the management business. So he went down to a local sports bar /restaurant and was hired???. And I told him how happy I was for him and I see the change in his attitude, his facial expressions, conversation, and it changes your life when you finally have a purpose to wake up and be productive . This was God’s purpose for us on this Earth in The Beginning.
I am proud that God is moving in him with evidence you can see! Be encouraged that God is hearing your prayers! Don’t give up praying for him. God is chasing him fervently.
